LaSpada's Famous Hoagies - Review

Labeled the "best damn hoagies in town" for good reason ... Originating in Chester, PA, they have been serving South Florida since 1973. It's not just a great hoagie you get, it's the experience you have when you walk in the door. Reminding me of Tom Cruise in the movie "Cocktail", in which he is tossing and twirling the liquor bottles, it's much the same here, only with top quality meats and cheese's whizzing by. Each hoagie starts on real Italian bread baked daily at a local, family run, italian bakery in either an 8" or 12" size. The meats are made from the best quality and sliced fresh right before your eyes to keep them tasty. All the meats, cheeses and veggies they pile on are REAL. Part of what complete's these hoagies, and gives them their signature taste, is their famous marinated sweet pepper strips (and sliced hot cherry pepper's if you like spice). Make sure to grab some extra napkins, they can get a little messy - partly because they are topped off with your choice of blended olive oil and red wine vinegar ... I'm getting hungry just writing this!
If your looking for a few less carbs, check out their salad platters with all the same great ingredients, just not the hoagie roll!
Prices are very reasonable, starting at $5.20 for an 8" "Veggie" hoagie (my favorite, with extra cheese), up to $10.95 for a 12: "Monster" hoagie. I know you won't be disappointed if you go -- check them out and tell them that FortLauderdaleKidsGuide sent you!
